Overview
In this project, I redesigned the homepage for CSB Connect, a government agency providing childcare and energy assistance to low-income families. The goal was to address the cluttered, confusing interface and improve usability, making it easier for users to navigate and access critical resources. I collaborated with CSB Connect stakeholders and incorporated user feedback throughout the process to ensure the final design met both user needs and the agency’s mission of support and education.
Approach
I utilized a user-centered design approach, conducting user surveys and competitor research to inform the layout and branding choices. The design process was iterative, with frequent feedback loops from stakeholders to refine the navigation and visual elements. By focusing on clarity, simplicity, and accessibility, I created a user-friendly homepage that not only improved usability but also aligned with the agency’s goal of reducing operational strain and providing an engaging user experience.
Value to Project
By transforming a cluttered interface into an intuitive, engaging experience, I provided the agency with a valuable tool to help low-income families access critical childcare and energy assistance resources more easily.
End Result
The redesigned homepage achieved a 95% user satisfaction rate, reduced call volume by 50%, and increased employee efficiency by making it easier for users to access essential resources.
